IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TÉMA PRÁCE: Domestic violence and its prevention In my diploma thesis, I deal with the topic of domestic violence and its prevention, which is a societal problem across all cultures. It is specific in that this negative phenomenon occurs in private, in a place that should be a place of safety and love, among people who are emotionally attached to each other. The aim of the presented work, systematically organized into 8 chapters, is to provide the reader with a complete set of information on the issue of domestic violence and to introduce him to the methods of protection provided by the Czech legal system. The introductory chapter is devoted to the general historical development of domestic violence, the theoretical definition of the concept of domestic violence, which has not yet been legally defined, it also presents the defining features that define domestic violence, its forms, summarizes the individual myths and prejudices of society. In the second chapter, the work is focused on individual subjects, i.e. the person of the perpetrator and the victim. Subsequently, a brief development of legislation in the field of protection against domestic violence is outlined. Domestic violence from the perspective of social workers

Domestic violence is a frequently mentioned concept that used to be ignored by the public for many years. More attention is paid to the issue nowadays; therefore, my thesis deals with this issue, the methodology used by domestic violence specialists and our legislation (which is finally beginning to address the problem of domestic violence and to amend the currently applicable laws). The objective of the thesis is to define domestic violence and its elements and to help the victims and show them where to find help. Finally, the thesis aims to point out incorrect and imperfect solutions to cases of domestic violence and in particular the failure to deal with the issue in a comprehensive manner at the government level.
System to help victims of domestic violence

In the submitted thesis I focus on domestic violence issues. In the theoretical part, I outline these issues based on a bibliographic research; I specify a basic classification of domestic violence, its development, and the current situation in the Czech Republic. Further, I deal with an analysis of the victim and offender personalities and present a valid legislative framework. Last but not least, I present a list of selected organisations providing support for the persons at risk of domestic violence and principles of their work with such victims. In the empirical part I focus on an analysis of the methods of work and cooperation among selected supporting organisations and this based on interviews with their representatives. After reviewing all the obtained information, I present a proposal aimed at an improvement of the work with domestic violence victims. At the same time, I propose a task that is to be developed as a project by secondary school students within primary prevention; the project is aimed at familiarization of students with the correct and adequate procedures applied by workers from the organisations providing support for domestic violence victims.

Domestic violence and its prevention The thesis is concerned with the problematics of domestic violence and its prevention. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the legal institutes that are provided by the Czech legislation for protection against domestic violence. The thesis is divided into six chapters each of which adresses special aspects of the problematics. The first chapter introduces the phenomenon of domestic violence. It tries to define the notion of domestic violence, describe its features and forms so that these pieces of information can be used in further parts of the thesis. Subsequently, it deals with theories that try to explain the causes of domestic violence. The second chapter is concerned general characteristics and personal traits of the perpetrator. Attention is also dedicated to gender aspects. The third chapter concentrates on general characteristics of the victim and adresses the process of victimization, i.e. the transformation of a potential victim into a real one. Primary, secondary and tertiary victimization are to be distinguished. The next part describes the mental consequences of the victim of domestic violence. Social work in the context of domestic violence combined with mental illness

The diploma thesis follow up the possibilities of social work with survivor of domestic violence having mental illness. The theoretical part summarizes the current form of social work with the target group of clients by survivor of domestic violence and the target group of clients with mental illness. In the practical part is described the investigation of this issue, analyzed interviews with social workers and proposal of work methodology. In the final discussion, the results of the survey and the success of the proposed methodology are controversial.

Presented thesis is focused on a comprehensive analysis of domestic violence and its prevention. Domestic violence can be described as a deeply rooted socially pathological phenomenon about which the society dares to talk more and more openly over the last few decades. Its unique characteristic does not lay in the form of violence the victim has to endure but in the place in which the violence occurs. It is a private family environment which is hidden from the sight of the public. Due to this aspect domestic violence is not only a serious problem but also a problem that is very difficult to detect and repress. Because of this it is vital to access domestic violence with great care, consistency and expertise. In the first part the thesis focuses on theoretical description of domestic violence, presents possible definitions of the concept, states the characteristics of domestic violence and refutes certain myths which trivialise this social problem. Further in this part an overview of typology of domestic violence and forms of violent conduct is included. Domestic violence and its impact on child

Bachelor Thesis focuses on the issue of domestic violence and it is impact on a child. The work contains theoretical and practical part. The first chapter in a theoretical part in general, domestic violence, it is causes, consequences, and the identification of the problem. In the next chapter, the victim is characterised by a violent person and all persons who may become victims of domestic violence. The attention of tormented, abused and neglected child. It is definition, speeches, forms, causes and consequences. The last chapter of the theoretical part of the assistance to persons at risk of domestic violence prevention, intervention centres and legal framework of domestic violence in the Czech Republic. The practical part is realized as quantitative research. The research is based on the method of questionnaire which was sent to the general public in electronic form. The main purpose of this thesis and also this questionnaire is to find out how the company is informed about domestic violence and its impact on a child. Man as a victim of domestic violence

The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to draw attention to the fact that even a man can become the victim of domestic violence. Nowadays, this issue is already being discussed, but the issue of domestic violence against women or children is still at the forefront. The second goal is to determine the attitude of the public to the issue whether they are aware that even a man can be a victim. At the beginning of the theoretical part, I focused on defining the concept of domestic violence: its definition, forms, characters, cycle Then I continued with the protection of domestic violence and victims of domestic violence. In the last part of the theoretical part, I looked at the man as a victim of domestic violence. I dedicated what can be a role of man in a domestic violence, what are the manifestations of this domestic violence, how can a threatened man be helped. Finally, I added real life cases. To achieve the intended goals, I used a qualitative research method in the practical part, with the main research method being an anonymous questionnaire. The questionnaire contains 14 questions, of which 12 questions are with a closed answer and for 2 questions respondents answered in their own words. At the end of the thesis I worked with the results of the questionnaire.
